Child Rights country reports were published by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, General Directorate of Child Services.
The combined fourth and fifth periodic report prepared by our country, the fifth and sixth party state report and periodic report submitted by the Federal Government of Germany and Finland to the Committee on the Rights of the Child were shared with the public on the website of the Ministry of Family Labor and Social Services General Directorate of Child Services.
The reports, which were translated into Turkish by the Ministry of Family Labor and Social Services and published on the website, are an important source for following the administrative developmental situations of different countries and all actions taken.
According to the article 44 of the contract to which our country is a party, Parties publish reports on the measures they have taken to enact the rights recognized in this Convention and the progress made in the benefiting of those rights.
The reports prepared are submitted to the Committee at two and five-year intervals, through the Secretary General of the United Nations. The reports contain information about the responsibilities that must be fulfilled in accordance with the contract, the factors affecting them and practices. States parties also have a responsibility to publish their reports widely in their countries.
The Committee, which has the power to request any additional information on the implementation of the Convention from States parties, publishes reports on its activities through the Economic and Social Council every two years.
4th and 5th combined Periodic Country Report prepared by Turkey, was submitted to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child on 29 March 2019.
